Box “HEAD IN THE CLOUDS”

As big fans of street art, we were looking for a way to bring graffiti art from the streets into people's everyday lives. We decided to collaborate with GLOW, an incredibly talented artist with a distinctive colorful abstract style. GLOW's work is strongly embedded in the urban environment and it achieves a positive transformation of the public space thanks to its distinctive and recognizable style. We came up with the idea to turn one of GLOW's works, created specifically for this project, into an abstract puzzle and as a bonus — a signed poster. When assembled in its box, the puzzle becomes a picture for a desk.

We named the project “Head in the Clouds” and wanted to convey the feeling of summer, freedom and sea. We made the box out of mirrored cardboard so that it reflected the picture and helped it get out of its conventional frame. We used the HP Indigo Hexachrome print with added orange and violet color, thanks to which we achieved an expressive look. We used 3D UV varnish on the mirror box to make the text look like it was written with water, as well as on the puzzle itself to create different textures and patterns that bring a feeling of being flooded and freedom. We also used liquid metal foils for an even more impressive look.
